Cycling

Cycling is another popular pastime for visitors to Cornwall. You may be put off by the hills, however there are flat routes too including the Camel Trail and the Pentewan Cycle Route. Along the latter you’ll enjoy wild flowers, wooded countryside and fine views. The route follows a flat route along a former river valley from St Austell to the beach and harbour at Pentewan. From here, you can continue on to the unspoilt fishing village of Mevagissey.

Walking

Cornwall is famed for its miles of coast path which circumnavigates the peninsula.  This trail is undoubtedly the best walking route in the UK and along its path you’ll pass through secret coves, hidden villages, wide sweeping bays and cliff tops with views. To access the SouthWest Coastpath from Boscundle simply make your way to Carlyon Bay, which is 5 minutes by car, or 20 minutes on foot.  For an extensive list of alternative local walks please click here.
